Here is a guide to help with the planning and arrangements that we have all found very helpful for this canoe/kayak trip

Set Up – Friday

  • Several of us (I would say most) set up our first camp site on Friday afternoon or evening.
  • This saves lugging it all day one and landing that first evening easier.
  • The location of the first campsite is very near the covered bridge by the 4 corners in Sussex.
  • Map shows location for camping set up and trail down (purple highlight)

Launch Day- Saturday

  • 32 Penobsquis Road, Penobsquis.
  • 9:00-10:00am- Arrival at McLeod Brook Stables- Cars can be left here as some people will have left vehicles at final campsite (we shuttle drivers back to cars on Monday)
  • Greg takes groups to the river, this will begin as soon as there are enough canoes/ Kayaks to fill the trailer.
  • Group photos at launch.
  • Hitting river by 11:00am

Relax Day – Sunday

  • Morning laziness
  • **Communion
  • Pack up- head to Covered Bridge for Rum Punch Gathering.
  •  Gateway mall stop if needed for supplies.
  • Arrival at final campsite, location below.
  • This year will be a Pizza Party ordered to final site for the evening.

Final Day – Monday

  • 1141 Riverview Drive East, Apohoqui
  • Lounge around
  • Shuttles to cars
  • Tims coffee pick ups
  • Awards Ceremony
